Part of the modernisation at the Weckenmann head office in Dormettingen is the investment in a modern flatbed laser-cutting machine with modern fibre-cutting technology. This new energy-efficient solid-state laser, which consumes only about half the electricity of a conventional laser and is equipped with automatic material feed, allows the company to increase its capacity in sheet metal processing.

From the outside this is visible in the newly-built, 15-metre-high storage tower where around 300 tons of sheet metal on close to 100 pallets can be stored. The photo captures the exciting moment when the heavy-duty crane lifts the panelling of the high-rising storage for pre-assembly on the roof of the building.
