Bobruisker DSK Invests 12 Million Euros

The Belarusian construction company Bobruisker DSK (BDSK) counts on the skills provided by Weckenmann during the renovation of its production plant.

As the general contractor the specialists from Dormettingen are delivering a complete plant for the production of concrete elements for a multi-storey building. The spectrum ranges from stationary production tracks, machine tools, battery moulds and special formwork, bucket conveyors, components of the mixing plant, technology for the production of reinforcements to a concrete recycling plant. In total the volume of investment is over 12 million Euros. "The investment is part of a program to modernise Belarusian plants for precast concrete initiated by the Ministry of Building and Architecture", explains Hermann Weckenmann. "As general contractors, and together with excellent partners, we are carrying out the complete planning, construction, production and delivery and, in addition we are also coordinating the start-up of the plant on-site".

 

Know-How from Weckenmann is demanded worldwide

The construction industry in Belarus has been placing emphasis on increasing quality for a while now. Since 2010 it has been orienting itself to the standards of the European Union. In the new plant, Bobruisker DSK will be producing components which include sandwich elements, solid slabs, interior walls as well as stairs and paragraph platforms. The firm, founded in 1972, proved itself to be a stable construction company following the economic period of transition in the 90s. Today it comprises two precast component plants as well as several companies employing a total of 1,000 staff members supplying goods and services to the construction industry. The most significant projects in the last two years include the construction of a large trade centre and the ice stadium in Bobruisk.
